Volunteer Opportunity at PADS

The Palos United Methodist Women, our Esther and Rebekah Circles, have arranged a service project with Southwest Suburbs PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter).

PADS organizes churches to take in homeless people for the night and provide dinner and breakfast.

Our assignment is to supply dinner and breakfast for the 20-30 women and children at the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church (8302 Normandy Av) in Burbank on the first Tuesday of the month from January to April.

Please join us in supplying these meals by volunteering to help or giving donations to purchase the food.

Also, join us in praying for those in need.

There is a sign up sheet in the narthex, and if you have any questions please contact Freda Darling at (708) 594-3534.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give.

Mid-Week Morning Prayer

Every Wednesday at 9:00 am, we will gather in the Chapel for a time of prayer.

Pastor Chung will lead the 15-minute devotion-prayer; you may leave or stay to continue with your prayers.

Wednesday January 7, 2009 will be the first gathering.

Come the way you are.
Come to pour your heart out to God.

Pastor Chung

“[Jesus] came that [we] may have life, and may have it abundantly.” (John 10:10b)

God blessed me richly throughout my life, and it is my sincere desire to help people experience God’s abundance in its fullness.

As for myself, I pray that God will help me preserve my authenticity, integrity, and humility in all I do and all my days.

Beautiful Sanctuary, Beautiful Church

During the 'Hanging of the Greens' Saturday Nov 29th, many of our faithful members took great joy setting up the Christmas trees and decorating the sanctuary and the fellowship hall. How blessed we all are to worship in this beautiful church!

'Come Unto Me'

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)
