Sweet Hour of Prayer !

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare,
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

Modest and simple in appearance, yet the Chapel provides a quiet time and place where yearning hearts reach out to God for his mercy and guidance. (Please read November posting "Mid-Week Morning Prayer.")

Whose Feet Are These?

Esther Circle, one of the United Methodist Women's group, had its January gathering, with the current study topic of "Women of the Old Testament."

Can you guess which pair of feet belongs to whom?

Winter Wonder

While doing dishes, I was awe-struck at this beautiful scenery of the parsonage backyard seen through the kitchen window. (Please read November posting "How Do You Like the Parsonage?")

"When I Was Hungry . . . "

Mostaccioli, garlic bread, salad, chocolate brownies, and cookies were prepared and served to the guests at a PADS site. (Please read December posting 'Volunteer Opportunity at PADS.')

Thanksgiving-Christmas CSR Gift

The spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas came alive as many of us faithfully participated in this mission opportunity and gave generously. During the period, this display, expertly prepared by our Mission Chair Terry Ellison, was on the board to help people better understand the project. 97 and Going Strong

A founding and charter member of the Church, Durward Fagan is pictured here with Eunyoung, his care-giver Dee Conway, and Pastor Chung, in front of a miniature model of the church he built when he was 93.

He in fact served as chair of the building committee when the church was built 50 years ago.
