Jack

Jack Greer checks ceiling water drainage in the fellowship hall.

People like him are the solid, basic building blocks of this church.

Here he was baptised as an infant, grew up, met his wife Susan and married, raised children, married them, and now sees his grandchildren.

He knows every corner of the church building. He is part of the church; the church, part of him.

Ash Wednesday

Our United Methodist Women hosted Breakfast & Program to mark the beginning of the Lenten journey. About 40 people gathered to participate in the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion, and to hear Sister Clair Marie Czerwiec speak on the importance of spiritual discipline for changed self and the community.

42-0

Elias Larson, son of Todd and Barbara, won the state title (145 lb) Saturday Feb. 21. His record was 42-0.

"I'm very excited. I dreamed of this day ever since I was a little kid, and here it is. It's a good sense of accomplishment to finally bring this home." (as reported by correspondant Curt Herron on Feb. 22 Southtownstar)

He is the 5th from left (or right) in the picture of January posting "The Winner Is . . ."

Helping Hands

Two of our in-house pros, Keith and Nancy, were among the adult members who helped with Extreme Make-Over Youth Edition. (You can tell they are pros by the way they hold their brushes.)
