"Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." (Genesis 2:9)
■ No wonder Jesus' disciples were preoccupied in finding out who was at fault instead of bringing healing:
"As he walked along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?’ Jesus answered, ‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him." (John 9:1-3)
■ Jesus came so that we can choose life:
"I am the way and the truth and the life." (John 14:6)
■ Those who learn to choose life in Jesus will have their life restored to its fullest:
"Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Nothing accursed will be found there any more." (Revelation 22:1-3a)
■ At our church, we strive to grow in the Spirit so that we learn to choose life in all what we do.
"I have come that [you] have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)
